The Troika’s cutting edge design means it’s always fast! The combination of a 70mm deep outer rim and super slim tapering aero sectional spokes deliver superb aerodynamics yet making it one of the best handling multi carbon spoked wheels out there. With a 31mm max profile width the deep outer rim allows air to flow around more efficiently with less separation even at higher yaw while the minimal tapered spokes design greatly contribute to an overall reduction in wind buffering, a major factor in saving energy and maintaining race focus.
WHY SO WIDE?
Most modern wider rim race wheels developed in recent years allow for the use of faster rolling (lower Crr) wider tyres but there’s usually an aerodynamic trade off to consider. To complicate things further the trade off will differ from race to race, rider to rider depending on average speeds. The Troika however has been designed with an extra wide 27 to 30mm flared outer rim with a 20mm inner track resulting in a superior aerodynamic tyre to rim interface while using faster rolling 25mm tyres. This makes it the ideal first wheel choice for almost all TT/Triathlon non draft racing…….The complete performance package!
